The largest provider of eye care coverage in the U.S. is a complementary group of companies that work together to meet and exceed the needs of eye care professionals, clients, and 70 million members worldwide.
To accommodate continuing growth, the company needed a scalable content management solution that could be leveraged across all of its worldwide corporate entities and managed under one roof. Additionally, the solution would need to be responsively designed for iOS and Android mobile users, work with all major Web browsers, integrate easily with third-party applications including analytics and search, and readily adapt to the company’s security and workflow processes.
To accomplish its goals, the eye care company selected Magnolia CMS and chose us to provide services and implement the solution. The eye care company has many sites, but the immediate need and initial goal was to implement the solution for a subsidiary that provides services to eyecare practice professionals. The project required a migration from an existing CMS and carried a timetable for success of five months.
We designed and developed a Magnolia template structure to support the responsive web and mobile channels while migrating the old site onto the latest version of Magnolia 5.x. We provided Magnolia implementation services, developed a single sign-on authentication for public users, and certified sites for use with all major browsers (as well as a client request to include unsupported versions). Additionally, we integrated the site with third-party analytics, search applications, implemented search engine optimization for every page, and re-created the company’s security and workflow processes (with an audit trail) within Magnolia.
